So either on your own, with a partner or friend, grab a pen and paper and try this Activity at home or work and let me know how you get on.

the aim of this activity is to break your list of things to do up into “bite-sized chunks”, to make them more manageable and to help you focus on whats important to you in achieving your goals.

STEP 1 - which of your tasks are most important and the most urgent?

these are the tasks you should focus on first, these are what i call “Top Priority”.

STEP2 - which of your tasks are the next most important but not as urgent as step 1?

these are the Tasks you should focus on next, after your “Top Priority” Ones.

STEP 3 - Which of your tasks are urgent but not important?

Is there someone else you can ask to help you do some of these? so you can focus on whats most important to you, step 1 & 2.

STEP 4 - Which of your tasks are not important and not urgent?

These tasks are the ones to AVOID! Ask yourself this…Is this task worth my time Completing or is it a waste of my time and energy?

STEP 5 - Create a list of your freshly Prioritised tasks and label them 1 to 4, so you know which to focus on first, in which order and the ones to avoid.

rEMEMBER to tick them off as you complete them. Believe me when i say, theres nothing more Satisfying than getting the job done! you will start to feel like you’re Accomplishing Something again and finally your list of things “to do” is going down.
