*ACTIVITY* Is It Your Time to GROW?

are you fed up of feeling like you’re shrinking into the background? fed up of not achieving what you want to achieve?

then this is the perfect exercise for you.

Grab a pen and paper and ask yourself the questions below, follow step 1 through to 4 and write Your answers down - give it a go and let me know how you get on.

STEP 1 - GOAL

you may find by doing this step that you define 1 goal or a number of goals, either is completely fine and whats Relevant to you. it will all depend on how much you are wanting to change or Achieve in your life, at this moment in time.

  • What do you want to achieve?

  • what do you want to change in your life?

  • what is your aim?

  • what does success look like for you?

STEP 2 - REALITY

This is what i often refer to as “Understanding your current state”.

  • what is your current situation right now? the good and the bad.

  • what are your biggest concerns and what barriers are you facing?

  • what are your Strenghts and areas of improvement?

  • Where are you right now in relation to achieving your goal?

  • Ask for feedback - is there someone you trust at work or at home you can ask for their opinion? where do they feel you’re at this moment in time?

STEP 3 - OPTIONS

By following step 1 and 2, you should now have an idea of what you need to do to “bridge the gap”. the difference from where you are currently in your life to where you want to be - YOUR FUTURE!

  • what are your options?

  • what support do you need? extra resources, different skills…?

  • How would you tackle the concerns and barriers you might face?

  • who can help you get there?

STEP 4 - WILL

  • What are the actions you now need to take to achieve your goal?

  • what are the steps you will take?

  • when do you need to take action?

  • when do you need support, and from who do you need it from?

  • how will you stay focused and on track towards achieving your goal?

  • how will you celebrate success?

By now, you should have a pretty good idea of what your goals are and a plan of action to make that change in your life.

REMEMBER - Committing to your plan, is a commitment to your growth.
